Call me Lazarus.

October 22, 2008

So I'm sitting here in my chair and simply existing as I while away the next couple days until they take out my tether. I've had a catheter in for over two weeks now and boy howdy am I pissed. And not at anything, I should note, so much as just pissed in general. I mean hell, this thing is irritating and making me sore and hugely limiting every single thing I'd like to be doing. Argh.

But I'm getting better. Just a few days after I got out the hospital I had a special visitor show up, from halfway across the country even. Which I thought was awesome since my friends in town here haven't even bothered to drop by and check up on me and see if I was still alive. But the ever-awesome Siryn dropped in and said o hai, and of course hung out for a day or so and helped meh get my act together.

Which I am told I need, since I guess I looked 'horrible' when Siryn first arrived but 'not so horrible' when all was said and done. And I thanks yoo for that, 'cause I'll be the first to admit that while I am feeling like dog shit right now, I sure feel better than I did when we first picked yew up from the airport. So you know, in case I don't say it enough, thanks a ton (metric) for swinging by my hobohobel!

The only problem is now that I'm all 'alone' again, I'm bored. I mean, I was on drugs the last two weeks so most of it is a sort of sleep-filled, stoned-out hazey haze, but now that I'm weaning off of the pills I'm finding I need something to do. And I sure as fuck can't hit the gym, what with me having a giant hose dangling out of my dick to let the goddamn thing heal up. So here I am.

So naturally I started here. And not just with this particular ramble, mind you. What I have done is rejiggered a whole lot of this site, to finally get my include files working. I had had an issue with them before, which I assumed was a problem with .asp and .css mixing together poorly, but since I did did get it working on the Web Marketing Man Dot Com site, I knew I had to be doing something dumb.

And I was. So I found it and fixed it! I also have fine tuned the navigation here on the site, as you can see if you are remotely observant. I condensed all the who/what/where type stuff into one link, and then made one for the new feature I have added to the site, the new Archive ™. What this deal is, of course, is an orderly listing of all my rambling rambles for your ease of access.

Sure you can read through them all in order simply by following all those 'next' links at the bottom of each page but I figured that way if you were inclined you could find something moar easier. In case you wanted to check something out I posted in June and didn't feel like clicking through the site ten goddamn times. And hey, it's also something of a more stable place for each thing to rest in.

Just in case Google decides to love me some more. Not that I'm remotely worried about showing up awesome in the search engines for this site, but I figured why hamper it? The place is already hardwired to be search engine friendly, since this was my 'practice run' for the Web Marketing Man site (at least in construction), so why not make it even easier for them? Love meh, Google!
