Maybe it's just me, but...

My Honda ™ Fit ™, moving about as fast as I was in traffic this morning.

One of the things that I loathe about my job, though I know it's a necessary evil and all that, is the commute back and forth from work. We live about a half hour away from that place I go, ostensibly, to make a living wage, which means I spend about an hour each day in my Honda ™ Fit ™. I try to keep it nice, too, though it readily collects dust (see my signs gallery for more on that).

Admittedly, the commute back and forth to the dungeon where I am forced to listen to insipid garbage while attempting to get things done, has gotten better. Since I no longer have to drive through downtown Dayton to get here, which has been under heavy construction for over seven years now, I seem to experience a lot less stress solely due to the act of driving to and fro.

The only problem is that the other people on the road just keep trying to push my buttons. Is it a common thing, elsewhere in the country, to drive ten miles below the speed limit until someone tries to pass you? I swear, this happens at least three times a day on my way to and from work, because these clods want to fart along at a snail's pace, yet can't abide being passed by anyone.

I didnt used to experience this quite so badly. Sure, I know it seems like people are doing that when you go to pass them, because of relative velocities and all that, but this is different. It just makes me want to attach a cow catcher to my vehicle and knock other cars around. Luckily for our insurance policy, not to mention everyone else on the road, a Fit ™ isn't really equipped to push anything.

But I like to dream when I'm stewing behind the wheel, what can I say.
