Sacrilicious!

March 26th, 2016

Brenda spoils me rotten. Rotten, I say!

Doesn't that look tasty? Downright sacrilicious, even?

Brenda, my wonderful significant other, built this for us for dinner last night. A perfect counterpoint to all the Catholic weirdness I've had to deal with at work lately, this was a pizza chock full of meats, on supposedly 'Good' Friday, with of course peppers aligned to form a pentagram. And it was tasty, too! It's a good thing she doesn't build pizzas more often, or I'd be three hundred pounds. Again.

Normally, we have us a very thin crust pizza when Brenda makes them, because they're easier for her to handle (after an unfortunate incident ruined bready pizza for her forever) and they're a few hundred calories less per slice (what with me trying to get my weight down to something more rational), but an exception was made tonight. A delicious, delicious exception, I assure you.

I'd say I wish you could've tasted it, but then that would've meant less pizza for us, and Denny simply cannot abide that concept. No, I implore you lot to go make your own pizzas. Don't just buy one, make one. From scratch! And I don't mean with one of those easy-bake pizza kits you can pick up at Kroger (or whatever store in your area they've since taken over, like Baker's or some such).

I suppose if you're like me, and can't really cook a whole lot, that may sound daunting. How do I make a pizza crust thin enough to cut a man, you ask? Trial and error! Come up with a mix that works for you, mostly by stealing something online if you have to. The same goes for a succulent sauce, or an Italian sausage spice mix. Which reminds me, I need to develop the latter at some point.

Hmm...
